We are very proud to announce the launch of our professional development workshops for educators. Our workshops offer an opportunity for educators to gain valuable knowledge, skills and insights that will help them in their own professional growth and development. Each workshop provides participants with practical strategies and tools that they can immediately apply in and out of the classroom.
Parent engagement is vital to the success of our students and district. A child’s first teacher is their parent, so it makes sense that parental involvement in education is a key component of student achievement. Parents are the first and most important influence on each child’s education—they are the primary source of guidance and support throughout their school years.
Parents often have an immense desire to support their children’s learning, but they may not know how they can do it best or how much time should be spent helping with homework or reading books together on weekends. Many parents want to help but feel overwhelmed by all of the available resources when trying to figure out what would work for their families. This workshop will provide you with tips on how parents can best assist the learning process at home!
Our resource and engagement tools workshops will provide an overview of strategies to optimize the parental engagement process, strategies for working with parents and community members, tips for effectively communicating with parents, strategies for engaging parents in the school’s mission, goals, and priorities.
